Main areas of responsibility

  • Backend development: Design and implement robust backend services and APIs using Python and relevant frameworks.
  • Front-end development: Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • API integration: Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems.
  • Performance optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability and user experience.
  • UI/UX collaboration: Work closely with designers to ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Security implementation: Implement security and data protection measures.
  • System architecture: contributing to the design and architecture of new and existing systems.
  • Technological advances: keep up to date with new technologies and integrate them into projects.

  • Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field – or equivalent experience.
  • Technical skills:
    • Basic knowledge of Python and JavaScript.
    • Experience with backend frameworks (e.g. Flask) and frontend frameworks (e.g. Angular).
    • Knowledge of database technologies.
    • Experience with Linux as a development and operating platform.
    • Experience with Git for version management.
  • Problem solving: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Adaptability: Ability to transform overall requirements into interactive flows and functions.

Additional merits

  • Design tools: Experience with Figma or similar design tools.
  • Containerization: Knowledge of container technologies (e.g. Docker) and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker Swarm.
  • Databases: Experience with SQL, NoSQL, vector and graph databases.
  • DevOps practitioner: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.

Location and working methods

The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. We offer the possibility of partial remote work, but we value on-site collaboration and expect team members to be in the office a few days a week.
