For a long time, we\u2019ve talked about AI as something that exists in the cloud, in a chat room, or on a computer screen. But we\u2019ve now reached a turning point where the technology is stepping out of the digital realm and into the physical world. <\/p>\n

What MIT Technology Review and industry leaders such as NVIDIA and Microsoft are now calling \u201cPhysical AI\u201d is not just the next trend\u2014it is the major watershed moment for industrial automation in 2026.<\/p>\n

The difference between the automation we\u2019re used to and Physical AI essentially comes down to the ability not only<\/strong> to perform tasks, but also to understand<\/strong>. While a traditional industrial robot does exactly what it\u2019s programmed to do, over and over again, Physical AI uses sensors to interpret its surroundings and make its own logical decisions in the moment. <\/p>\n
